This course offers basic-level training in General Accelerator Physics, designed mainly for engineers and technical professionals who have yet to attend one of the regular CERN Accelerator School Introductory courses.

The course covers fundamental topics of accelerator physics, with a focus on CERN machines and applications. It is the only non-residential CAS course and lasts five days.

Initially, this course was for CERN participants only, but since 2018, it has been open to anyone not working for CERN.
