The CERN Accelerator School holds training courses for accelerator physicists and engineers twice a year. The courses take place in conference centres in different member states of CERN and consist of a programme of lectures and tutorials spread over a period of one or two weeks. Participants are welcome from member states of CERN and other countries world-wide.
The pattern of courses is:
spring course on a specialist topic.
autumn course on accelerator physics which is at the introductory level in even years and at the
intermediate level in odd years.
in even years an autumn course in the frame of the
Joint Accelerator School
(JAS) programme. JAS is
a collaboration between US, CERN, Russia and Asia.
